INHALT Die Internationale Sommerakademie für Bildende Kunst in Salzburg, gegründet 1953 vom Maler Oskar Kokoschka, ist seit beinahe einem halben Jahrhundert ein Ort, an dem künstlerische wie auch kulturelle, politische Grenzen überwunden werden. Nancy Spero und Leon Golub, die als ProfessorInnen über Jahre den weltoffenen Geist der Sommerakademie geprägt haben, begleiten mit ihren Statements zu Kunst, Politik und "Lehrbarkeit" durch dieses Video. Lehrende, Studierende und Assistierende aus fünf Kontinenten tragen zu einem sinnlichen und informativen Puzzle über einen "Sommer der Kunst" bei.

The Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts was founded in 1953 by the painter Oskar Kokoschka and is now for almost half a century a place, where artistic as well as cultural and politcal borders are being overcome. The teachers Nancy Spero and Leon Golub, who have shaped the cosmopolitan spirit of the Summer Academy throughout the years, accompany this video with statements about arts, politics and "teachability". Teachers, students and assitants from five continents contribute to a sensual and informative jigsaw puzzle showing this "Summer of Art".
